I wrote this tune while trying to put off shoveling the walk and driveway. Maggie came in and said,"Happy Burns' Day." When I realised what day it was, I used that for the title of my song even though it sounds more Irish than Scottish to me.

This version is from the late Zeke Mazurek's last solo album. It features Zeke on fiddle, me on mandolin, Randall (Rockin' Randy) Kempf on bass and Tom T. Taylor on guitar.

I play this on my 12-string Levin mandolin from 1945...

Hmm.. yeah.. I am not very used to play the 12 stringed yet, so that's why it is a bit slow.

The strings are a bit closer to each other than on the eight stringed.

I play this together with my friend in our project "Beards'n'Hats" and it is only the two of us.
