On this episode of Manga Mavericks, Colton & Lum discuss Keito Gaku's trans coming of age manga, Boys Run the Riot, with none other then the localization team behind the series' English release from Kodansha USA! Including editor TJ Ferentini, letterer Ashley Caswell, as well as translator/returning guest, Leo McDonagh! We discuss some of the localization that went into the series, as well as how its themes and messages about finding the courage to be your true self no matter what people say or think (or having no shame in your game) can hopefully inspire current and future generations of LGBTQ+ readers to do the same!

Also, Lum is going to San Diego Comic Con later in the month to be a panelist on Deb Aoki's Best and Worst Manga panel on Friday, July 22nd at 6pm! So if you happen to be going to the convention, stop by and check out the panel to see what their manga picks will be!
