Week 2 of Killin' Folks for Funzies month brings us to our most recent movie we've watched, 2013's new-america themed home invasion movie, The Purge.

The movie follows the Sandin family as they try to survive the Purge, an annual event sanctioned by the U.S. Government that legalizes all crime for 12 hours. When the event is initiated, loved ones, neighbors, and strangers become either predators or prey, and when a group of crazed teen killers come to their door looking for a homeless man who's harboring himself in their house, the Sandin's have to question their own moral standards and decide which end of the proverbial food chain they want to be on.
