Amos Prophecies against all of the abuses of the Northern ten tribes.  They were completely on themselves and making money and had no concern for God or for the poor.  For is  and other sins they were goin to be captured and their land would lay desolate.

Paul in Corinthians 9 again stressed the importance of tithing.  But Paul had the Poor Christians in mind when he was collecting offerings from all the Churches.  Her was not looking to enrich himself but those around him.

Isaiah gives a number of Prophecies regarding Israel's future glory and their furture Captivity.  Israel will one day be the desired by all Nations but before that will happen fist Israel must repent of it's rejection of the Root of Jesse, (Jesus).
