Vs 31-32 A committed Christian is consumed with God’s glory.

Vs 33-35 A committed Christian takes the initiative to love God’s people with God’s unconditional, sacrificial love.

Vs 18-20 Don’t let hypocrites distract, disillusion, or dissuade you; stay focused on following Jesus, and fulfilling HIs commission.

Vs 21-26 God is sovereign; He knows and uses everything, including human sin, to accomplish His eternal plan.

Luke 12: 47-48 The more God has given to you, the more He will require from you.

Vs 27-30 Turning away from Jesus is rejecting life and salvation, and embracing death and destruction.

Hebrews 2: 1-4, Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart, so you won’t drift away from Jesus.

John 13:1-17

Vs 1 Because Jesus loves you infinitely, He will always do what is best for you; regardless of what it costs Him, or what it costs you.

Vs 2-5 Jesus expresses His love for us by performing humble, sacrificial service for our eternal benefit.

Vs 6-11 To have an intimate relationship with our Lord, we must confess our sins every day, and ask Jesus to wash us clean.      

Vs 12-17 The reality of Jesus is displayed to the world through our loving, humble service for one another.

Philippians 2: 5-8 Since Jesus emptied Himself to the point of death, and I am His servant, there is no task that is ‘beneath' me.

Vs 38-41 People who repeatedly refuse to believe in Jesus, may be spiritually blinded by God so they cannot see and believe the gospel.

Vs 42-43 Whatever you love more than God is your idol that is preventing you from following Jesus.

Vs 44-48 Jesus came to save people from judgment; those who reject Jesus will be judged by the gospel they have rejected.

Vs 20-22 Meeting with Jesus must be our first priority everyday.

Vs 23-24 Jesus’ death produces eternal life for all those who believe in Him.

Vs 25-26 When you love Jesus more than anything else in this world, you will follow Him, and have fellowship with Him.

Vs 27-30 Jesus glorified God through His loving obedience, and we are called to do the same.

Vs 31-33 The cross of Christ is infinitely powerful: it judges the unbelieving world, it dethrones and defangs Satan, and it draws people to the Savior.

Vs 34-36 The time to believe in and follow Jesus is today.

Vs 1-3 Jesus is worthy of our extravagant love and sacrificial worship.

Vs 4-6 Nothing is wasted when it’s devoted to Jesus.

Vs 7-8 Don’t wait until the funeral to express your love; say it while they can hear it.

Vs 12-15 Jesus’ Triumphal Entry fulfilled prophecy, and proved that He was the promised King of Israel.

Vs 16-19 We must worship Jesus for Who He is, not for what we want Him to do.

Vs 31-35 We can bring our struggles to Jesus, because He is a compassionate Savior who understands our suffering and sorrow.

Vs 36-40 Those who believe in Jesus will see God’s glory through Jesus’s words and works.

Vs 41-42 Jesus performed miracles so that people would believe that He was sent from heaven by His Father.

Vs 43-44 Jesus Christ, Creator, has all authority over all creation, including authority over life and death.

Vs 47-53 People who love their sin, hate Jesus, and reject any evidence that contradicts their position.

Vs 1-6 Because God loves us, He often allows us to suffer, which is designed for HIs glory, and our good.

Vs 7-10 While we are on earth, God enables us to live without fear as we do His work.

Vs 11-16 God often strengthens our faith in Him, by first allowing us to experience problems that have no human solutions.

Vs 17-24 God’s ‘delay’ is not God’s denial; when God intervenes in our lives, He often solves problems we don’t even know we have.

Vs 25-27 Our faith is founded on the fact that Jesus Christ is the Lord of all, Who gives eternal life to those who believe in Him.

Vs 22-26 Those who belong to God will believe in Jesus, His Son; those who refuse to believe in Jesus, reveal that they don’t belong to God.

Vs 27-31 God sent Jesus the Messiah to earth, in order to give eternal life to those who belong to Him, and believe in Him.

Vs 32-39 Jesus’ supernatural miracles inescapably demonstrate that He is God in human flesh; therefore refusing to believe in Him is both irrational, and immoral.

Vs 40-42 Like John the Baptist, God calls us to “take the initiative to share Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, and leave the results to God.” (CRU)

Vs 1-6 Jesus is the true shepherd whose sheep respond to His call by following Him faithfully.

Vs 7-10 Jesus, the only door to a saving relationship with God, gives His flock abundant eternal life.

Vs 5, 8 Intimate experience with the good Shepherd, enables us to detect and reject false shepherds.

Vs 11-15 Jesus, the good Shepherd, gave us eternal life when He chose to pay the penalty for our sins by dying in our place.

Vs 16-18 Jesus demonstrated His love by laying down His life; He demonstrated His deity by rising from the dead.
