Maple City Pipecast

The Latest instalment in the year ten project, we talk about the pipe, the tobacco and the reason for the project, the up coming anniversary.

In this Basics episode, we cover a topic that didn't make it into the first series: Filters.

If these things baffle you, then this episode will help clarify some issues.

While we have our Monday Night Smoke, we will discuss the Pipe Smokers Laws as created by 26. The Ozark Pipe Smokers of Rogers, Ark., and the members of Pipe Chat.

Tim Greenwood, the first ever volunteer Everyman on the show! We were excited when Tim contacted us, and we had a good time.

I'm going to pull the curtain back a bit here in the show notes. Tim and I recorded this interview the day before I record last months Everyman with Beau York, and during the course of the prerecording checks, I mentioned it to Tim as he is a Country Squire Radio listener. Tim was nervous after that because he didn't think he had much to offer when compared to a pro podcaster.

Tim, if you're reading this you NAILED IT!! Never compare yourself to others, everyone has thier own qualities that make the unique and shine. Embrace who you are.

Tonight we talk Christmas. How was yours? Drop me a line and let me know I'm interested. I talk how mine was, plans for money received, and even for birthday money yet to be received.

We talk IPSD plans and smoke on of my all time favorite blends.

In today's episode we will talk about home pressing tobacco. back in mid November I decided to try to condense my cellar by pressing tobacco into crumble kakes. Over the course of four weeks I worked on this to find the press that was right for me. This episode was recorded then.

On tonights MNS, I get a visit from an unlikely guest with some news that I couldn't have known when I recorded this episode. Regardless of how the timeline has changed, I'm still smoking G. L. Pease Quiet Nights, in my Nording Compass.

In Today's episode of Maple City Pipecast, we discuss home blending, what that might entail, how a couple of blends may have turned out, and what might be the future of this endeavour.

If you want an expert opinion on the subject of home blending you need to listen to Country Squire Radio Episode 266: Caught You Blending: A Starter Guide For Blending At Home, or if that isn't your cup of tea, you can always watch the live show replay here: https://youtu.be/U8Xx5mt9Ook

Please note that no children were harmed during the making of Maple City Pipecast, although at points you might think they were. My middle and youngest decided that when I was recording it would be a good time to have a screaming contest. Sorry for that everyone.

We are heading into 2019, and are looking forward to new things happening in life. Will this be the year that Maple City Pipecast gains a major sponsor? Will pigs fly? Will your host have jury duty? All these things and more could theorectically be possible in 2019.

Hope you make it a good one, because it will never happen again.
