In the very first episode of this podcast we have with us - Dr. Shawn Gaurav. He is a medical graduate from India who aspired to be a surgeon when he was very young. He recently matched into surgery residency in the U.K which he will be starting his residency in a few days time. What many of us do not know about Shawn is that he was initially pursing engineering and would have gone onto become an engineer. In this episode, we talk about his brave decision to switch careers in a rigid Indian society, his one true undeterred passion for Medicine, the very wise advice given to him by his engineering professor and of course the challenges of being a first generation immigrant.

Shawn talks about mapping out his move from one continent to another - we discuss in detail his setbacks, his victories, how the pandemic put a pause on his pathway, application process for surgery training in the U.K , his interests outside of his 9-5 job, what's next in store for him and he fondly talks about his first of many brainchild - Plabnation which he then sold the very famous PLABABLE.

Here's a teaser of our future podcast. A journey of a doctor and a designer duo that have moulded a strong friendship into a marriage. We are excited to share our life experiences, our struggles, our happy moments, our journey of moving into a new country during a pandemic and taking on newer adventures as an inter-faith couple.
