Happy Thanksgiving!! This episode the girls talk about their quick trip to New Orleans over the weekend. Joan talks about a small town nearby called New Iberia, Louisiana. Annalisa gets us ready for the holiday with a Thanksgiving origin story in Newport, New Hampshire!

Being from Indiana has its pronunciation challenges in this episode as Joan talks about the artistic epicenter Carmel by the Sea, California. Annalisa brushes up on her French when talking about Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.

It's Election Day and your vote matters! The girls talk about two small towns with deep roots and fun stories in ties to elections. Annalisa talks first about Dixville Notch, New Hampshire, a tiny population with a big impact on Election Eve. Joan talks about St. Mary of the Woods, Indiana and their nail biting political streak.

It's been an amazing spooky season and we end it with another road trip! Joan surprises(ish) Annalisa with a trip to a castle with a scary urban legend, the girls go on a hike, and listen through to hear when things take a very very dark turn.

We are still in Spooktober with the frighteningly fabulous 13th episode!! Joan picks a not small, small town made popular by Stephen King, Bangor, Maine. Annalisa talks about Bellbrook, Ohio, and talks about several spooky stories from the book Haunted Ohio.

A double feature! Joan and Annalisa travel to Pennsylvania for a day of fall activities, hiking, and a ghost tour of a haunted mental health institute! Special thanks to those out at Hillview Manor for the tour and the talk. It was positively delightful :)

SPOOKY SEASON IS HERE! Both Joan and Annalisa are super excited for October episodes and the girls kick things off by going on a road trip to the ghost town of Helltown, Ohio in the middle of a national park...or at least they try to

On this episode Joan goes over a Big Sad and a Big Fun when talking about Center, North Dakota, a double meaning to the small town. Annalisa heads back to The Wilds going over Skagway, Alaska.

Annalisa comes back from her trip hiking part of the Appalachian Trail! After the trip, she talks about a place she visited on the way home, Greeneville, Tennessee. Joan takes her shot at peculiarly again (she fails) and talks about a town that supposedly has the steps to leading down Hell, featured on Supernatural the TV show, and known for it's demonic stories, Stull, Kansas.

Google comes in clutch for the girls this episode. Joan goes over Tarpon Springs, Florida, the sponge capital of the world. Annalisa talks about Tehachapi, California and the Tehachapi railroad pass!
