When Jesus offered his disciples the cup at the Last Supper, he said, "Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Moses used similar language when the Old Covenant was instituted, but he didn't ask the people to drink the blood. Jesus demands nothing less than full fellowship. "Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you." (John 6:53) In this power-packed sharing, we examine the life-giving reality of taking in the blood of Jesus Christ into our inmost beings.
