Welcome to the latest episode of Marbella with Him & Her, your podcast about the busy social lives of Him (PJ Lopez) and Her (Hannah Murray) as they go out and about in Marbella and the Costa del Sol.
This week starts with Hannah's caesar salad made at the table for friends Bev and Jamie who came over to watch our performance of Abigail's Party.
Later that evening we headed to the Three Monkeys (@the3monkeysbarestepona) for an emotional send off to Dave the Chef who sadly passed away recently.
Tuesday evening was a first for us as our mobile phones bleeped madly thanks to a weather red alert telling us that we could avoid travel on Wednesday as severe rain and storms could cause a risk to life. Schools and supermarkets were closed and public transport was suspended until 8am Thursday morning.
Hannah recently interviewed Elliott Wright (@elliottwright_) as this week was his charity event at his restaurant Olivias (@olivias_la_cala) where he raised over €30k for flood victims of Valencia.
On Friday Hannah had a hair appointment with the Marbella branch of celebrity hair dressers Salon Maher (@salonmaher), coming home very happy with the outcome. So much so that she lead us astray Friday evening going out to Nuevo Siglo for chinese and then to Hogan Stand (@thehoganstand) where we drank far too much limoncello!!
On Saturday night we went to the Salon Varietes Theatre (@salonvarietestheatre) in Fuengirola to watch the fantastic Viva la Diva with (@melissaccarver) Toni Leigh (@teee_ell) & R Jay Music (@rjaymusiq)
Sur in English articles this week include Rafa Nadal (@rafaelnadal) and whether he will be fit for the Davis Cup in Malaga, the UK team playing in the Billie Jean Cup, and the ongoing drought despite so much rain.

After an unscheduled week off due to illness, Marbella with Him & Her is back and packed with lots of fun activities and adventures.
This week we start with a fabulous dinner party with friends Guy and Teresa in Benalmadena. It is a real buzz to get together with new friends and share so many stories!
The day after, we set off for a wedding (a hash wedding) in Quarteira on the Algarve in Portugal. It was an amazing day and night of fun, laughter and meeting new people. Sadly it was cut short due to PJ falling ill. We headed back early and were frustrated by WAZE and its directions!!!!
While PJ recovered, on Monday Hannah had rehearsals for a tribute play to June Rendle, who sadly passed away earlier this year and was a much loved member of ITS. Hannah also decided to try out an invitation for EMS training on Tuesday morning with her friend Amy.
We also chat about a couple of amazing interviews Hannah did for TRE during the week. One with Esther Adan who is deaf and doing lots for charity work for deaf children. The other was with Tarek, the father of Strictly contestant Tasha who is also deaf and was on Love Island. Tasha's dad lives in Coin on the Costa del Sol and they chatted about the bullying Tasha went through and how she is now an important voice for the deaf community.
We also managed to try the new Italian restaurant Babbu in San Pedro which is our most local restaurant, and was a great experience! (@babbutrattroria_es)
Finally we chat about the horrific situation in Valencia after the storms and how the amazing communities around the country have rallied to help

This week was a busy social week for us, but before that we had the final night of Abigail's Party last Sunday and we ended with a great night and a standing ovation! Part of us is always sad to end a show and part of us is glad as we can get our lives back to normal. Check out the Internationaltheatrestudio.org website or facebook page for some photos of the cast in action.
Monday night was the wrap party at a lovely Italian restaurant called La Grappa in Benavista. They offer a selection of very well priced set menus. Definitely worth checking it out. (@italianrestaurantlagrappa)
Hannah went to her favourite brunch hangout Pandora in San Pedro with her father on Friday (@pandora_cafeteria) and in the evening we all headed to Eleanor's house (who played Ang in Abigail's Party) for her birthday and to celebrate end of summer. Needless to say many shapes were thrown!
Saturday was yet another party, this time for a friend Jan's 75th birthday. It was a themed party so people came as either hippies, rockers or mods. Great to see everyone make a real effort and it was certainly a colourful party.

A bit later than usual as we had our last performance of the iconic Abigail's Party on Sunday. This is episode 32 of Marbella with Him & Her, your guide to Marbella and the surrounding areas.
The week started with a BBQ at our house for family, and PJ's amazing Thai pork burgers were an instant hit! The night ended with Hannah drinking Crème de menthe chatting with her dad's cousin Miles while PJ snored on the sofa after getting a little carried away with the sweet brandy and vodka!
Sunday it was off to beach chiringuito Kala Kalua Playa for a fabulous lunch, which was just in time before the weather turned!
We had a last meal out with the family at one of our new favourite San Pedro restaurants Chef by Divot where most of us enjoyed the Chateaubriand which we cooked at the table on the mini BBQ (@chefbydivot) If you have not tried this restaurant yet we can highly recommend it!
Wednesday onwards was ALL about Abigail's Party. Wednesday was the tech rehearsal, Thursday was the full dress rehearsal and then from Friday to Sunday it was the actual performances. When we did this podcast we still had Sunday night to go but had already done Friday and Saturday to sell out audiences. See photos on the International Theatre Studio Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ITSMarbella
Hannah tries to convince PJ the benefits of cold showers and recalls Spencer Matthews chatting about it on the podcast Spencer & Vogue.
PJ & Hannah chat about the amazing performance of Annie at the Salón Varietés Theatre in Fuengirola which was west end standard. It was great to see so many kids involved in the musical and see Diva Fever's Melissa Carver and Toni-Leigha Dempsey at their best.
