On tonight’s program: A plan tying Florida’s Bright Futures Scholarships to student majors has been watered down again due to pressure from students, parents and educators; Diverting sales tax money collected from out-of-state Internet sellers to Florida’s unemployment fund has workers’ advocates in a lather; Florida’s insurance industry decries unscrupulous lawyers and roofing contractors for filing lawsuits, which then raise insurance rates. We’ll also hear how a legislative fix for that is faring in the Florida House; And once again the battle lines are drawn in the Florida Legislature between optometrists and ophthalmologists.
