March 8th is International Women’s Day.
And honestly, being born and raised in Africa, I’ve sometimes been shocked to see how this day is celebrated.
Many people and sometimes even women themselves celebrate it like it’s Mother’s Day.It becomes a day where people wear beautiful wax outfits, dance, drink, receive flowers from men… and that’s it.
And this honestly breaks my heart.
