Good read, past throws it off and is slightly random at times

I purchased this book with no expectations because I have never read anything by Brooklyn Taylor before, so I did not know what to expect. I can truly say I was surprised by this book in the end. The story was good, but I feel like the past could have been portrayed in a different way, instead of being inserted in to the story at what I feel was random times.

The present story flows well, and is well written.

I like the characters, but I felt like Callie was far too judgmental to truly be Madison's friend at times. However, I think that comes with her mindset of there being no gray area when it comes to marriage. She has a stark black and white view, with nothing in between and I feel that truly hurt her relationship with Madison. That being said, she was there and supported Madison in the end like a true friend would do, especially considering the circumstances. I did feel that present day Blake was too perfect now, as opposed to his bad boy days. I guess age and happiness can change all that huh? hehe

All in all a good read for my first book by Brooklyn Taylor. I would suggest this book to a friend if they asked me about it.

5 BIG STARS!

I believe Brooklyn did a fantastic job with this book. There were a few topics that most writers would stray away from, but she hit it full force. It really makes you reflect on your own relationship and how far is too far when dealing with your friends, family and loved ones. Sometimes getting into someone else's relationship doesn't help anyone, and only causes more harm then good. There are valuable life lessons to be learned throughout the book, but specifically I was please at Madison's ending. I know it may seem weird, but I like to see strong, independent women who do not need a man to define them or tell them who they should be. She grew a backbone towards the end and I was so happy because of it. It amazed me how emotionally attached I got to these characters. I believe that is a true testament to how wonderful a writer Brooklyn is. Kudos!

Awesome

This book had me in awe from the beginning. U have to best friends that end up marrying to beat friends. Some marriages last and well others not so much. What a surprise ending. Karma is such a mean person. Young adult. Real life situations
