  • Can Boris Johnson afford another scandal?
“In the early hours of Friday morning, I answered a phone call from a takeaway food delivery driver. At the same time, I heard what sounded like shouting coming from the street.

“I went downstairs, on the phone to the driver, and collected my food. On the way back into my flat, it became clear that the shouting was coming from a neighbour’s flat [where Boris Johnson was staying]. It was loud enough and angry enough that I felt frightened and concerned for the welfare of those involved, so I went inside my own home, closed the door, and pressed record on the voice memos app on my phone." Is this one scandal too many for Boris Johnson in his bid to become Tory leader and Prime Minister? Let us know your views in the commetns.

  • Mark Field the Greenpeace Grappler
The Greenpeace protester grabbed by suspended foreign office minister Mark Field has said he should consider attending anger management classes.

Janet Barker, who was manhandled after interrupting a black-tie City dinner, said she did not intend to complain to the police – but did suggest the Conservative MP may need professional help controlling his temper: "He certainly manhandled me in a way in which was very disagreeable… I want him to reflect on what he did and not do it again. Maybe he should go to anger management classes." The crucial question is whether or not Mark Field used reasonable force, or was in fact totally unreasonable and over-reacting. Weigh in your view in the comments.

A statement from the Tory party chairman and the backbench 1922 Committee said nominations for the leadership will close in the week starting 10 June.

So far, four MPs have announced they will run for the leadership - Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, former foreign secretary Boris Johnson, former work and pensions secretary Esther McVey and International Development Secretary Rory Stewart. But who will win? Mark and Pete weigh up the options.
