I woke up to a post this morning that said: "Cried this morning. Why? Self doubt hurts. It's scary. I need a life coach. And then I need to become one". I hope this helps them.

These are the words of Viktor Frankl and it is a question he used to ask his patients who came to se him who were suffering from a multitude of torment and from their answers he would find their reason for living
And Viktor Frankl was well qualified to ask that question as a therapist because he had survived the holocaust as a long term prisoner in Nazi concentration camps where his existence as a human being was stripped bare and where he also lost his father, mother, brother and wife to the camps or the gas chambers.
He believed that our ultimate human freedom was the ability to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances.
He wrote a book called ‘Man’s Search for Meaning’ and I would highly recommend that you read it.
I hope the helps you.
I have been getting asked a lot about my views on staff donning ppe so that they can restraint patients/service users, etc.
But what some people don’t realise is that when you introduce PPE into the equation you also introduce additional hazards that must be controlled.
That is what this video is about.
I hope it helps and please feel free to leave any comments below.
As you know I have been putting out risk assessment information relating to Covid 19 and Physical Restraint in lieu of anything that may or may not be forthcoming from Public Health England and you can access that resource on our website if you haven’t done so already.
However, I am also seeing another worrying trend, and that is risk assessments being done to justify something that staff shouldn’t be doing, and that is not the purpose of a risk assessment.
Now many of you know me, you read my stuff, watched my videos and many of you have trained with me or are coming to train with me so you know my values and what I stand for. If you want to come out of this situation you’re going to need help and I’d like to be that help.
Yesterday I put out an offer for a Level 3 Risk Assessment Award Course, which will teach you how to do risk assessments which will help you safeguard your business, keep you and your family safe, reduce the burden on the NHS, Care and our other emergency service hero’s whilst helping you protect yourself from prosecution.
What I’d like you to do is enrol on that course.
But even if you don’t check it out, listen to the video on the web-page and read the entire page. It may be the best investment you make today and possibly this year.
Here’s the link – NFPS Level 3 Risk Assessment Course
Our brains are designed to protect us from things that can harm us, so they are designed to seek out what threatens our safety and make us aware of that threat.
And let’s face it, there is an abundance of things for our brain to choose from that will create fear, anxiety, worry and anger, because it is readily available all around us.
And Anger and fear are the two primary emotions that can destroy your life. They can destroy your business, your relationships with others and also your health.
But there are also so many positive things available to us if we only took the time to look for them. Things we can be grateful for and that make us happy.
It just takes a bit of training to learn how to focus on what you want as opposed to what you don’t want.
Don’t be a victim of your own outdated brain!
Warning: The story you tell yourself inside your head can be sabotaging your future and your health.
This is why it’s so important to tell yourself the right story
You are (right now) telling yourself a story inside our heard, but is th the right on?
The wrong story can have a seriously negative effect in your life and also in your health.
This podcast explores why it is so important for you (and your family) to tell yourself the right story.
We are all living in an unprecedented time, but even so, you have absolute control over what you choose to say to yourself inside your own head.
I hope this helps you!
This is really REALLY IMPORTANT, so please watch all of the way through and if you feel that it may be of benefit to anyone to keep themselves safe, feel free to share it.
Not many people know about this!
I have had a call this week and during that call the person told me that a representative from a training company has allegedly told them that they are the only NHS Approved Training Provider who are approved to deliver Restraint Training to the NHS. And no, I’m not making it up!
Trevel Henry is a good friend and a very experience Expert Witness on the use of force as well having been a trainer for many years now.
In this podcast we discuss the issues relating to the use of physical restraint in the current pandemic situation in an open and frank way.
We also discuss the problems staff face if they should fall out of date by not being able to attend a refresher course and how that can be addressed.
The current coronavirus situation has been devastating for a lot of businesses with courses and jobs cancelled with no short term solution.
Many business owners are very worried that their businesses may not survive the Governments twelve-week period of ‘social distancing’ and ‘self-isolation’ ….. but, there are opportunities that you can take advantage of if you apply yourself and think differently to those who are panicking.
