Global cues were very positive today morning on 19th May 2020. American markets closed 3% up due to good news about phase 1 success of vaccine on Covid-19. India expected good gap up opening followed by further buying. But Market started correcting right from the opening. Nifty went above 9000 level but could not sustain there. Selling in Banking and Financial sector stocks continued for second consecutive day. Bharti Airtel the top gainer of today was 10% up. FIIs are selling in Market as Markets in their countries are improving again due to increased prices of crude oil and ongoing development on Coronavirus vaccine. Today on 17th May 2020, General Atlantic Partners invested around ₹6598 Crores in Jio Platforms which is around 1.34% stake in R Jio. With this investment total Investment in R Jio in last four weeks is around ₹67,000 Crores. Facebook (9.99%), Silver Lake (1.15%),Vista (2.32%) invested in Jio Platforms before General Atlantic Partners.
