Founded in 1998, Sam Whitmore’s Media Survey (SWMS) produces research and analysis that helps tech PR pros pitch more effectively. SWMS interviews editors and studies their work. We then produce research and analysis that helps tech PR pros land coverage today and build relationships for the long run. SWMS serves PR agencies and tech brands headquartered in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Joining Ziff-Davis' PC Week in January 1984, six weeks before the publication's launch, Sam served as a reporter and news editor before becoming editor (March 1987), editor-in-chief (October 1989) and editorial director (October 1992). He resigned from Ziff-Davis in April 1998 to launch SWMS.
Michael Ingram has built commercial infrastructure for dozens of organizations over the last 10 years, with a focus on high-growth B2B technology companies. He previously led sales operations, business development, and sales development teams at Axial, an online network connecting the buyers and sellers of private companies. Prior to Axial, Michael led enterprise sales operations and strategy at Zocdoc, helping structure the systems and processes to scale the sales and success organization to over 250 team members.
