About Maroubra Shul

Learn the tunes of our services, one prayer at a time.
This is a learning resource for the Maroubra Synagogue community. Each episode takes a single prayer or psalm from one of our services and teaches you the melody, so you can listen at home, in the car, or on the way to Shul and arrive already knowing the tune.
We are starting with the Friday Night Shabbat Service, which is the first collection in the series. Those episodes are arranged in the order the prayers appear in the service, starting at page 308 of the ArtScroll siddur and working through to the end. Shabbat Morning and the Chagim will follow in their own collections.
Sing along. Every episode has a printable PDF of the prayer, with the Hebrew text and the transliteration, linked in the show notes. Each episode also lists the ArtScroll page number, so if you prefer you can follow along in your own prayer book.
Sung by Yonatan Baruk. All of the singing in this series was recorded by Yonatan Baruk, and the project is an initiative created exclusively for the Maroubra Synagogue community.
