Today, we look at Genesis 2:2.  God GIVES us a gift of rest.  He didn't create all of Creation and rest because He was tired.  He did it as an example to us.  He set aside and sanctified the seventh day.  Sanctified means set apart.  We have to set apart time or we might have a come apart time.  

This is a time to recharge our batteries, reconnect with God and our spouse.  We can work on hobbies, read a book, start a new series, garden, try a new restaurant, take a drive or just get out and enjoy God's creation.  Whatever you do....enjoy it and let it be different from your regular routine.

 Jesus tells us in Mark 2:27 that the man was not made for Sabbath but Sabbath for the man.  It's truly a gift.  It doesn't have to be rigid but it does take some planning.  Tune in as we discuss it.

On this episode we finish talking about the beauty that can come from the hard work of restoration.  God can make stronger what was almost broken and lost.  He is a God of second, third and many chances.  

Restoration is possible with the help of the Holy Spirit.  Pray for your marriage.  Pray for God to fill you with HIS spirit.  It's not easy dying to self but remembering what brought you together, rekindling those old feelings and restoring your relationship is possible with HIS help.

Junior and I are living proof of lives changes, a marriage that is stronger almost 32 years in than it was in the beginning and even though we fight A LOT.....we depend on God to get us through and HE always does......just invite HIM in.

Today we focus on the work of restoration.  We talk about some of the lies the enemy whispers and the falsehoods we might believe.....things like I could start over with someone else and it would be easier or I'd rather be alone than be with him/her.  Lies like my single friends are much happier than me and much more.

The enemy is s-s-subtle, s-s-sneaky and s-s-sinful.  Don't listen to him!  God doesn't hate divorced people but he does hate what divorce does to people.  It creates more scars, more pain  and more baggage for you to haul into the next relationship or ultimately leaves you all alone.
