Marriage through a Gospel Lens: Mark 1:1-15

1. The beginning of the Good News of the Messiah: Mark is making a claim from the very beginning, and the rest of the book is laying out evidence to support that claim, and leaving it in the hands of the reader to decide how they’ll respond.

2. John’s baptism was to call people to radical repentance, like the OT prophets calling the Israelites away from self-centeredness to God-dependence.
