Just in time for election season is Dr. Zeile's meditation on the call of Matthew and the moral ambiguity of his profession as a tax collector. We are to conduct ourselves as followers of Christ in a morally ambiguous society with its dangers of corruption. The meditation is accompanied by the introit, Communion rite, and the hymn, "By All Your Saints in Warfare for All Your Saints at Rest."

Excerpts from the All Saints' service accompany this message based on Genesis 15:6 "Abram believed God and God counted him as righteous." Dr. Zeile explains that faith is not a work of man but a gift of God, the precursor, not the reward of good works. The Ralph Van Williams classic "For All the Saints," and the contemporary "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God" are included in the program.

Then Luther's hymn on the Ten Commandments is sung before and after Dr. Zeile's message about our addiction to behaviors and attitudes that are killing us, and the Law's role in driving us to the Great Physician who can free us.
