The Japan-based shredder brings his current roadshow to life with the help of his tech, Alan Sosa.

Marty Friedman, the ex-Megadeth guitarist and celebrated mixologist of heavy metal and Japanese music, released his latest solo record, Drama, in April 2024. Last month, PG’s John Bohlinger caught up with Friedman before his show at the Basement in Nashville to see what key pieces of gear he brought out on the Drama tour. Friedman and his trusted tech, Alan Sosa, who handles all effects switching manually during the show, showed us the goods.
