Wendy talks with PA Auditor General Eugene DePasquale about the backlog of rape kits in the state.  He said catching up on these rape kits will help get criminals off the street.  He said he feels the real number of backlog is 5,000 cases.  He says that they caught someone in North Dakota for a rape in Philadelphia in 2011.  He also said some of the kits went back to the early nineties.

A local father heard Marty and Wendy interviewing Kim Bishop, whose 30 year old son has been addicted for a decade to heroin. She doesn't know if he'll survive his addiction, but fears he will not. A listener named Paul called in to offer Kim his own story about his own son's addiction (which he survived) ... and told her why she should never give up.

Marty and Wendy talk with attorney Marty Dietz about the parents who pleaded not guilty in the college scandal.  Marty says they plead guilty for several reasons.  He says some of these people probably think they are not guilty.  He says they might just want more time to negotiate.

Local mother Kim Bishop talks to Marty and Wendy about her son, who, for the last 10 years, has been addicted to drugs. Listen now as Kim whispers matter-of-factly about how she put a piece of paper in her son's wallet with her phone number and name so that when he overdoses and dies, the person who finds him will know to whom he belongs.
