TSA union president Bill Reese joins Marty and Wendy to talk about how TSA agent are dealing with the shutdown that has them going into their second pay period of the shutdown.  He says he is just trying to keep their people going with the resources that they have access.

Bob Garvin a retired Police Officer and Private Investigator joined Marty Griffin and Wendy Bell to talk about the kidnapping of 13-year-old Jayme Closs from Wisconsin and murder of her parents and how almost 88 days later she escaped and was found and brought home to her family on January 10th.

District Attorney Steve Zappala joined Marty Griffin and Wendy Bell to talk about the letter he send to Pittsburgh's City Council about the gun control legislation that is under consideration.  DA Zappala says the three bills are unconstitutonal, and could allow criminal complaints to be filed against council members who vote to adopt the measures.

Tim Makris the executive director of Sandy Hook Promise joined Wendy Bell to talk about the "Safe to Say Something" program that allows children to report certain things like bullying anonymously.

Bill Reese, President of the local 3222 TSA Union joined Wendy Bell to talk about how the government shutdown (that doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon) is affecting TSA Agents.  Bill Reese tells Wendy that everyone is still showing up and dedicated but said morale is down.  He added that no ones paycheck should be held for anyones agenda.

Joe DeStio joined Wendy Bell live in studio to talk about a news conference the city of Pittsburgh held today where they released homicide numbers and other related numbers for all of 2018.  There were 55 homicides in 2018, three fewer than in 2017 and down 71 from 2014.  The number of non-fatal shootings and calls for shots fired are also lower.

Lawyer Ben Sweet joined Marty and Wendy to discuss representing victims of sexual abuse by priests. Ben told Marty and Wendy that he was very close to opening a civil window last year and that it will open this year to allow cases to be brought to court. Ben said that there is a lack of shock with these stories now as they become more frequently reported and publicized. Ben said he doesn’t see the situation getting better for the church until they are completely transparent

Dan Simpson joined Marty and Wendy to talk about an article he wrote for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on January 9th titled “Trump is wreaking havoc and needs to leave.” Dan, Marty and Wendy talked about the $5.7 billion dollars he requested for a steel barrier between the U.S and Mexico border. Dan says Trump had a tantrum when Democrats approached him to talk about the government shutdown and wants Republicans to calm his rhetoric.

Bob Kerlic, VP of communications at the Allehgeny County Airport Authority told Wendy and Marty that today was the first day that workers at the Pittsburgh International Airport were not paid due to the government shutdown.  Today was the first day in which the airport staff delivered lunches to more than 200 workers including TSA and FAA.  He said that TSA at the airport in Pittsburgh has not had any major disruptions and most people are showing up to work.

Ed Bouchette joined Marty and Wendy to talk about the Rooney Rule, an NFL policy which requires league teams to interview ethnic-minority candidates for senior jobs and head coaching positions.  He told Marty and Wendy that Dan Rooney put the rule in place and it had an effect for a long time but it doesn’t seem to be the case this year.  Ed Bouchette said that a plausible theory put out by Ryan Clark today is that teams want young or quarterback coaches but minority quarterback coaches aren’t that common.
