The entertainment industry is a difficult place in which to carve out a career, and attempting to navigate this patriarchal landscape is trying as a womyn DJ. First, we have Orphea who currently hosts R-evolution in Ghent, Belgium, assaulting us with Hard EBM and Aggrotech beats. Next, we have PlagueLustre (NYC/Baltimore) who currently holds a Thursday residency on SquareWāv TV on Twitch, providing us with pulsating warehouse-inspired Dark Techno beats. Third, we have DJ Carbon who has held residencies at The Wave and 37th & Zen in the Virginia Beach area, with her tinnitus-inducing PowerNoise set. MARTYR, the host of FrequenZ Mixshow and TechNoir Events in Virginia, rounds up the mix with a short set of new school EBM music. We hope you enjoy the mix! It has been 4 years since I recorded a Dark Ambient Mix. I have been struggling with some inner demons lately, and in times such as this, I always turn to Dark Ambient.
