Ep. 9) Kayti has some issues with the moral messaging in Marvel’s What If…?, as The Watcher intervenes in Ultron’s multiversal shenanigans without fully explaining why he took an oath not to in the first place, and as Arnim Zola (a literal Nazi) saves the day. Mike digs into some Marvel Comics history with The Illuminati, and Alec wants to know why no one is talking about the sexual tension between Peggy and Natasha. Kirsten declines to comment, but wrote an extremely horny review of the episode at Den of Geek just hours earlier.

(What If...? Ep. 8) Gone are the celebratory ales and quickie Vegas weddings; it’s Ultron time! Everyone’s favorite murder bot with a god complex trashes the universe and isn’t scared that his mom will find out. Because, y’know, he doesn’t have one. And even if he did, he’d probably kill her. In this episode, Kayti is back from holiday and gets tonal whiplash catching up with the last two installments of What If…?, while Mike and Kirsten remember the time Marvel Comics toyed with the idea of making Steve Rogers president.

(What If...? Ep. 7) As a bit of light relief from the last handful of dark What If…? episodes, we get to chill out with Frost Giant Loki and Party Prince Thor for a while. Alec and Kirsten are enthusiastic about the installment, but Mr Crankypants himself aka Mike Cecchini is predictably unamused. Kayti is away on holiday, and therefore doesn’t have to deal with his “get off my lawn” vibes this week.
