Join me @marnisuureynolds as I welcome a special guest and colleague, Dr. Paula Seymour Holanchock, an Assistant Professor of Business Administration; Social Entrepreneurship Program Director at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. Paula and I met at the beginning of our Phd journey's at CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies). Her topic is fascinating, Mary Magdalene. Paula earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and has a Master’s Degree in International Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Women, Gender, Spirituality, and Social Justice. Paula also has a Ph.D. in Religion with a concentration in Women’s

Spirituality. Her research interests explore:

• Women, gender, spirituality

• Gender-based violence in the workplace

• Subjective and Objective Knowledge, Other Ways of Knowing

• Conscious-based leadership and self-awareness

• Social Impact: social and environmental justice

• Essential mindsets of the circular leader

• Conscious inclusion and the responsible leader

• Strategies to operate with responsible and sustainable business practices that benefit people and the planet

Her dissertation is titled: Mary Magdalene, Women, Sex, and Sin: From Wrath to Spiritual Realization.

We will discuss the following.

How do the Roman Catholic Church and Christianity, in general, define sexual sin for women? Can the patriarchal religious conventions of this understanding of female sexuality be overcome through a path of spiritual realization as taught and experienced by Mary Magdalene? Methodologies helped me bridge the subjective and objective ways of knowing, spirituality, and science, using intuitive inquiry and spiritual feminist hermeneutics.
