Depression can hit everyone.  Beautiful people, funny people, people that LOOK like they have it together.  Depression has no prejudices against people, it can and most likely touch everyone at some point in their life.  The important part is to have a support system you can use to help guide you along the way—someone special to talk to and someone you trust.

We often lie to ourselves and others about how beautiful things can be.  We are great at hiding the mistakes, hiding the ‘weaknesses’, and even hiding them from our own children and spouses.  But today, I’m here to tell you – you need a support system to get it all out.  It’s OK to admit where you hurt or when you hurt.  Find that person that can be compassionate and empathetic.  Not every day is sunny, but that’s ok… it makes the sunny days even more special.
