Ru: В Москве, в начале весны, вокзал полон людей.
En: In Moskve, at the beginning of spring, the station is full of people.

Ru: Снег почти растаял, и в воздухе витает запах блинов и радости — здесь празднуют Масленицу.
En: The snow has almost melted, and the air is filled with the scent of blinov and joy — they are celebrating Maslenitsu here.

Ru: Юрий стоит в толпе, погруженный в свои мысли.
En: Yuriy stands in the crowd, absorbed in his thoughts.

Ru: Сегодня у него важная встреча в Санкт-Петербурге.
En: Today he has an important meeting in Sankt-Peterburge.

Ru: Эта встреча может дать ему долгожданное повышение.
En: This meeting could give him the long-awaited promotion.

Ru: Но вот беда, он опоздал на свой поезд.
En: But there’s a problem, he missed his train.

Ru: Юрий сердится и нервничает.
En: Yuriy is angry and nervous.

Ru: В голове — лишь работа и работа.
En: His head is filled with nothing but work and more work.

Ru: Рядом стоит Аня.
En: Next to him stands Anya.

Ru: — Здравствуй, — говорит она.
En: "Hello," she says.

Ru: — Вижу, ты чем-то расстроен.
En: "I see you’re upset about something."

Ru: Юрий вздыхает.
En: Yuriy sighs.

Ru: — Я пропустил поезд на важную встречу в Питер.
En: "I missed the train to an important meeting in Piter."

Ru: — Бывает, — пожимает плечами Аня.
En: "It happens," Anya shrugs.

Ru: — Хочешь немного отвлечься и отпраздновать Масленицу?
En: "Would you like to distract yourself a bit and celebrate Maslenitsu?"

Ru: Юрий колеблется.
En: Yuriy hesitates.

Ru: У него нет времени на праздники.
En: He has no time for celebrations.

Ru: Но улыбка Ани подкупает.
En: But Ani's smile is enticing.

Ru: Вокруг — музыка, смех, люди радуются весне.
En: Around them, there is music, laughter, people enjoying the spring.

Ru: Юрий соглашается, сам не зная зачем.
En: Yuriy agrees, not knowing why.

Ru: Они проходят через яркую толпу.
En: They walk through the vibrant crowd.

Ru: Вдруг Юрий замечает, как дети запускают разноцветные воздушные змеи.
En: Suddenly, Yuriy notices children flying colorful kites.

Ru: Он вспоминает, как в детстве делал это с отцом.
En: He remembers doing this with his father when he was a child.

Ru: Юрий решает не спешить в Петербург.
En: Yuriy decides not to rush to Peterburg.

Ru: Он благодарен Ане и Масленице за этот выход из рутины.
En: He is grateful to Ane and Maslenitse for this break from routine.

Ru: Он решает поехать вместе с ней, чтобы писать о своих новых открытиях.
En: He decides to travel with her, to write about his new discoveries.
