We sit down and go through what happened in the month of November to realize that we actually do a lot more in November than thought. We are also surprised with ourselves that we have not talked about our newest addition at MassMEP, the Massmep.org website! Always a lot to learn in these recap episodes and another great resource to add to you bad dad joke collection.
There have been a lot of changes in the month of November and we knew we needed to sit down with our subject matter experts to help us navigate these new waters. The Workforce Training Funds have undergone a big change, so we asked our subject matter experts, Lisa Derby Oden & Sarah O’Brien to provide us insight on how MassMEP can help the Manufacturers in Massachusetts in the high seas of funding opportunities.
We had the luxury to sit down with a group of guests in-person to recap October, AKA, Manufacturing Month and the importance of doing events such as the Strategic Resource Showcase. Brooke Thomson from AIM and Kathie Mahoney from MassMEP sat with us for the first part of the episode to talk Manufacturing in the Commonwealth, and for the second part of the episode we sat with John Sinopoli of Synagex and newly crowned MassMEP Resource of the Year, and our own Kristina Dearborn from MassMEP. You can learn more about MassMEP and our resources on our website and reach out through the contact us form to connect with a MassMEP representative.
We sit down with our colleagues, Olivia Antonelli, Joe Simao & Gary Tavares to talk about the importance of their roles at MassMEP and Manufacturing Day. Talking about the importance of Manufacturing day allowed us to reflect on what we dreamed about becoming as kids. It also took us down the road on the importance of Manufacturing day.
This episode we recap the month of September and sprinkle in a little August. We start looking ahead to fall and Manufacturing Day/Month for October.
Can you guess which Movie parody this podcast will reference? If you can, you will fit right in with this episodes guest, Kim Hunter, MassMEP Grants Manager II. We take some time with Kim to discuss what is available for funding for Manufacturers now, what may be available, and how we are a resource in looking for those funding opportunities and working through those processes. If you have more questions about funding, or anything else as a Massachusetts Manufacturer, reach out to us here.
It has been four years in the making and we have reached a milestone with the 100TH Podcast Episode. This one’s for those that listen, thank us for making them, laugh, bring insights, and doing what we do each day! This episode, the other 99, and the hundred more to come are solely for the Manufacturers in Massachusetts! We do what we do everyday because of you! In this episode we do MassMEP trivia with our President, Kathie Mahoney, Senior Director of Business Development, Kristy Grignon, Associate Director of IT, Matt Healy and two of our regulars, John Sinopoli, CEO & Pete Morin, CTO of Synagex IT. Test your trivia and see if you can guess the correct answer before our studio guests.
