Massage Podcast

Boris Prilutsky has been teaching and practicing medical and sports massage for the last 40 years. He is the founder of the South California Health Institute school of massage, physical therapy aide and chiropractor  assistants program in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the Pedagogic Institute of Higher Education in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, degree in physical education, completed postgraduate physical rehabilitation study at Lesgofft Institute of former Leningrad, graduated from Medical College in Ramat-Gan, Israel, with a major in chiropractic medicine. The first 20 years of his career, he spent working with Olympian teams of the former Soviet Union. Boris has trained thousands of therapists worldwide. He also treats patients with various neural, muscular and skeletal disorders at his offices  at San Fernando Valley as well as at Beverly Hills, California. When teaching  classes, Boris sharing not only book knowledge, but most important clinical experiences from the treatment room.

Susan G. Salvo is a massage therapist with 30 years of experience. As an author,Susan has written several best selling massage textbooks, online courses, and instructional youtube videos. Dr Jeffrey Kiker, ND is a Naturopathic Physician with over 20 years in natural/alternative health care field and enjoys working with patients, teaching and exploring new ideas. He maintains a private practice as clinical director of Holistic Therapies Naturopathic Health Center incorporating bodywork and Naturopathic medicine in Evergreen, CO with his wife, also a ND and 1 year old baby girl.

He holds several degrees; a Doctorate from National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) 2008. Keith A. Stiles, is a Licensed Massage Therapist in New York and Massachusetts and professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association, who has sixteen years of sports, orthopedic and clinical massage expertise. He is a graduate with high honors from the internationally-renowned Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT), in Boulder, Colorado. The 1060-hour manual therapy certificate program earned Keith a unique opportunity to work with industry heavy-weight, Elaine Calenda, board member of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). Rhonda Reich, MA, RMT

Rhonda is a 1982 graduate of BCMT and since then has spent her time as both a massage therapist and educator. “Massage Therapy has been my life’s mission and I am thrilled to be bringing this passion back to the school where it all started.” She has also spent 15 years as a dedicated canine and equine massage therapist and instructor. Aside from originating the Canine Massage Certificate Program at BCMT in 1999, Rhonda has also established a 100-hour Equine Massage Certificate Program. She spent 5 years massaging horses in Lexington, Kentucky before returning “home” to Colorado.

Michael Hamm, LMP – is a teacher of bodywork, he strives for a dynamic classroom and a strong community in courses that include anatomy, research literacy, and various techniques. In 2005, Mike won the Gold Award in the Massage Therapy Foundation’s student case report contest, and has worked with the Foundation since then to improve research literacy in the massage field. Michael Rosen-Pyros, D.C., received his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the SUNY College at Old Westbury, New York, in 1975. He attended New York Chiropractic College, receiving his doctor of chiropractic degree in 1983. He has 21 years of experience teaching life sciences at the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy, as well as many years of experience as a former owner/director of the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in Florida. Rosen-Pyros currently practices an eclectic synthesis of chiropractic and Thai massage in Boulder, Colorado. He is a musician and singer, a yoga and tai chi instructor and writer.

Ben E. Benjamin holds a doctorate in sports medicine and education. He studied under orthopedic medicine pioneer Dr. James Cyriax.  Benjamin has taught for more than 30 years and has been in practice for more than 45 years.  He has dedicated his life to helping people cope with and overcome the pain and stress caused by injury to the body. His therapeutic techniques help reduce and eliminate pain produced by adhesive scar tissue formed from soft tissue injury.

In sports medicine/muscular therapy private practice since 1963, Dr. Benjamin is the founder of the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA. As an educator and author, he has conducted seminars and workshops across the country, served as an instructor and trainer in a variety of settings, and written several books and countless articles.
