And being underserved doesn't mean that something is wrong in what and how we do our work. How we underserve ourselves is believing what others say about our massage therapy careers and businesses, that we'll never make the money we want to make, that we can't help others and also make a lot of money. These are beliefs perpetuated by society, the spa and wellness industries, massage therapy schools and ourselves. Fortunately we don't need to change those organizations in order to create the job/business we've always wanted. We can serve ourselves first.
