To round out this week’s reflections on “kingdom practice” aka “spiritual disciplines” (giving, praying, fasting et al) let’s pause to hear and ponder the musings of Dallas Willard from his classic Spirit of the Disciplines, topped off with Eugene Peterson’s Message rendering of a defining Pauline word from Romans with regard to whatever array of “practices” in which we might engage. May these words challenge us and the way we view the “practices” in which we engage in the what, the how, the where, and, perhaps most importantly, the why.
