The Story Dimension:

If Lens is how you see and Habit is how you think, then Story is how you explain. It’s the meaning you assign to your experiences—the narrative you tell yourself about who you are, what your life means, and what role you play in the world.

Every human being is a storyteller. The difference is that some people are conscious of the stories they’re telling, while others live inside of them without realizing it.

The Habit Dimension:

If the Lens Dimension is about how you see the world, the Habit Dimension is about how you process the world in your mind. Habits of thought are the roadways your brain runs on. Think of it like a city map. Typically when you go somewhere you take the same route out of habit. Sometimes you drive somewhere and can’t even recall the journey you just took. You’re on Auto Pilot. Your habits are like your auto pilot—they are automatic patterns that you repeat so consistently, you often don’t realize you’re doing it.

Where your lens is the filter of your mindset, your habits are the loop. Together, these two dimensions form the foundation of your mindset.

The Lens Dimension:

The first dimension—The Lens—is the foundation for the & Dimension of Mindset. Every other aspect of the Mindset builds from this dimension, because before you can change habits, or rewrite your story, before you can rewire your identity, you must first recognize the lens through which you’re seeing the world and that’s why the Lens is first up.

Introduction to The 7 Dimensions of Mindset:

Most people think of mindset as a vague concept—often reduced to “think positive” or “change your thoughts, change your life.” While this advice isn’t wrong, it’s incomplete. Mindset isn’t a single gear that turns once; it’s a whole system of interlocking dimensions that shape how you see, feel, act, and grow.

I call these the 7 Dimensions of Mindset™, because together they provide a full-stack picture of how your inner world creates your outer experience.
