In my latest message, I want to convey that it doesn’t matter what we’re talking about, we must communicate our story into it. Then connect that story to our brand, which means what we represent, overall.

Remember, the story is about you, the brand is about you. And when those are communicated, your audience will connect with you (and your brand. In order to relate with your audience, you have to consistently speak their language. Don’t lose sight of that. Stay connected and continue to serve them. Speaking is not about hearing ourselves speak. Speaking is about making a great and lasting transformation. Something that sticks.

What a great conversation with the beautiful and special Pastor Paulette Jaminson, who is an inspirational speaker, coach, and author. Her story is one of triumph from being low, from down and almost out, and hearing the voice of the Lord who said I have more for you. She made mistakes when she was addicted to drugs and alcohol. Went to rehab, yet she never gave up. Although her mind was telling her she didn't have the mind to fight, God had something else to say. Today she is impacting many women to get up and get going. One of those ways is through her new book, One Step. One Step was the title that came from a 12-Step rehab program she completed.

Where do you want to go in your life? What do you want to do? Who do you want to meet? Why do you want to see that vision God placed in you? When do you want to get there? How will you do it? Those are some great questions to answer. I talk about goals alot in my podcast and Women of Movement Clubhouse rooms. You can get what God has for you. It's about saying positive encouraging words, thinking on those words, and moving to make them happen. 

Let me ask you this: Do you know how important the words that are coming outta yo' mouth are? Very important for many reasons. Proverbs 18:21 says life and death are in the power of the tongue. We have to watch what we say. We don't have to say what we're going through and give negative words the floor. We don't have to say I'm this (defeating thing) or I'm that (defeating thing) because that's what we're feeling. We don't have to say I suffer from this thing here and that thing over there, then use that as an excuse not to show up for ourselves and show up for others. We can say great things over our lives and continue saying them. We are what we think we are (Proverbs 23:7). So it's about saying empowering words that build us up, not defeat us and tear us down.

God is raising up winners, champions, victors eagles. We have to speak like it.

We are here of servants of the Lord Jesus, so we must ensure we are doing what He wants us to do. Stick to that ONE thing, build it out, then recalibrate as necessary. Don’t care what anybody says. We’re not here for what people think about us. Do YOU. When we’re in tune with what He has us on, we will speak the language of the people He has for us to positively impact. Start and continue on. Done is better than perfect, yet this is the thing: we have to stay on the one thing and build it out before we move on to something else. We must stay focused on the quality, not the quantity. The quantity will come next.
