Have you ever heard the phrase, "you are what you eat?" It means that whatever we put in our bodies, our bodies will tell the truth about us. If we eat junk food and fast food everyday, people are going to start noticing that we are not leading a healthy lifestyle, right? It's not rocket science. Or have you ever heard the phrase, "show me your top 5 friends and I will show you your future?" Both of those phrases say the same thing. That we are what we let into our lives. That can mean, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

This episode asks questions that makes many of us think about where we are in life and where we're going. Have you ever looked at someone, maybe an athlete or anyone you know and you just knew they were going to be successful? You knew they were going to make it, because you saw that look of determination on their face. You too can achieve big things. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." If God is for you, who can be against you? Nobody. With a made up your mind, start where you are, and keep going. You can get what you want with a made-up mind. And that's the truth of the matter.

In this episode, the topic is being above average and doing the things we need to do to get there. Success is obtainable for everybody if they're willing to do the work. A while back I pick up a little book called, An Emeny Called Average, By John L. Mason. As you can surmise, it's a book about being something more than ordinary, common, usual, or average. Mason has 77 nuggets that can teach us something about being more than many of us thinks. In podcast 1, Confidence and Courage, I talked about how I didn't value myself or my time and how I lived in fear of failure and success.

In this episode, wisdom is front and centered, because it plays a crucial part of life. If you had a chance to ask God for anything and you knew it would be granted, what would it be? Do you know there's a man who did just that and God gave him even more than he asked for? Oh yes, his name is Solomon and in 1 Kings 3, he asked God for wisdom and he got much more. You can do the same. God has open arms for all when they tap into who He is.

This episode is about how the Lord God will bless us, regardless. I talk about the story of the leper, Luke 17:11-19. Jesus will blessed those who calls upon Him. Romans 10:13 says, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." That's what happened with the leper and if it happened with him it can happen with anybody. It can happen with those who give the Lord honor and praise and those who thank Him for all He has done and will do. Such was the case with the leper, the outcast, the one who was overlooked. Yet, Jesus didn't overlook him and Jesus isn't overlooking you. Be encouraged in the Lord. He has more for your life.
Note: the corrected scripture reference is Romans 10:13

Today's episode is about making and staying connected to the people who mean something. There was one time when I flew solo. In other words I had retreated inside myself and kept myself at a distance from people, because I had gotten hurt by people I trusted, that I decided whomever I "befriended" I would distrust until I felt close enough to trust them. Then I got wind of Proverbs 18:1 that says, "whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment." And I was like 'oh wow, that's me. I'm operating in pride and selfishness.' I got enlightened and I realized that it wasn't all about me and my hurt. It was about continuing to put myself out there by making myself friendly and letting the chips fall where they may. If you're going through something similar, just know there's hope. It's just all about making connections -- the right connections. You're going to make it.

In this episode we discuss what it takes to become and maintain positiveness. No matter what you're going through or no matter where you are in life, don't let anyone steal your joy, your peace, or your positiveness. In fact, do you know it's actually impossible for anyone to do that? It's impossible for anyone to steal any emotion from you. People don't control what any of us thinks or feels, we control ourselves. God gives us free-will to do so.

This episode talks about where we are going in life. We must think on those things if we want to be productive. Do you know where you're going or are you walking in any direction the wind blows? Do you think on the things of God or are you living a life of hit or miss? Is your future important to you or do you just accept what happens that you deem beyond your control? If any of those questions are a yes, then Houston we've got a problem. But the good news is that we don't have to get down about starting small. Remember Zechariah 4:10 says don't despise small beginnings. You can make it, so continue to think and go forward.

This eposide is about ensuring we are taking things to God before man. It's important that we do that, because God will always have our back. He's perfect and perfection. Yet people are not -- we are going to fall short and disappoint others. So I have some questions for you: Who do you rely on when times get tough? Do you rely on yourself or God? Do you head for the phone or do you head for the throne? The answer, which is the most important to you, makes the difference between success and failure.

In this episode, I am more passionate about what, thus says the Lord, because I'm tired of seeing God's people weighed down by their mistakes and mishaps. We have to learn to forgive ourselves, because God is going to give us back everything we lost -- our name and our possessions, just like He did for David (1 Samuel 30). It's time we started getting all that God has for us, right? Yes! Consequently, this is what the Lord is saying to you today: "I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment" (Exodus 6:6). I googled the word "redeem" and this is what came up: "1. compensate for the faults or bad aspects of (something); 2. gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment." So you see, God will redeem you. You're going to get everyback.
