Sl: Ljubljanska osrednja tržnica je bila središče mesta, tudi pozimi.
En: The Ljubljana central market was the heart of the city, even in winter.

Sl: Zimski veter je žvižgal med stojnicami, a vzdušje na tržnici je ostajalo živahno, kljub hladnemu vremenu.
En: The winter wind whistled through the stalls, but the atmosphere at the market remained lively despite the cold weather.

Sl: Matej je stal za svojo stojnico, zavit v toplo jakno.
En: Matej stood by his stall, wrapped in a warm jacket.

Sl: Pod kapo so mu gledali črni kodri.
En: Black curls peeked out from under his hat.

Sl: Zimzelena zelenjava je bila lepo zložena na njegovi stojnici.
En: Evergreen vegetables were neatly arranged on his stand.

Sl: Matej je bil ponosen na svoje pridelke.
En: Matej was proud of his produce.

Sl: Tri generacije družine so že prodajale na tej tržnici, zdaj pa je bil on tisti, ki je moral ohraniti tradicijo.
En: Three generations of his family had already sold at this market, and now it was he who had to preserve the tradition.

Sl: "Danes moram prodati vse," si je tiho rekel Matej.
En: "Today I must sell everything," Matej quietly told himself.

Sl: A kopaste sive oblake in mrzle temperature so odganjale številne kupce.
En: But the overcast gray clouds and cold temperatures were keeping many buyers away.

Sl: Tudi drugi prodajalci so se trudili pritegniti pozornost redkih mimoidočih.
En: Other vendors also struggled to attract the attention of the few passersby.

Sl: Matej ni želel obupati.
En: Matej didn't want to give up.

Sl: Spomnil se je, da mu je Tanja, njegova prijateljica, nekoč rekla: "Ljudem moraš ponuditi nekaj več kot le zelenjavo.
En: He remembered that Tanja, his friend, had once told him, "You have to offer people something more than just vegetables."

Sl: " Tako je začel deliti majhne vzorčke sveže narezanega zelja in trde buče.
En: So he started handing out small samples of freshly cut cabbage and firm pumpkin.

Sl: Ob vzorcih je postavil roke okoli ust, da bi jih pogrel, in na ves glas klical: "Sveže in okusno!
En: With the samples, he cupped his hands around his mouth to warm them, and loudly called out, "Fresh and tasty!

Sl: Poskusite!
En: Try it!"

Sl: "Jasnine oči so se medtem sprehodile po stojnici nasproti Mateja, prav tako prodajala zelenjavo, ampak njena postavitev ni bila tako privlačna.
En: Jasna's eyes wandered over the stall opposite Matej, which was also selling vegetables, but its arrangement wasn’t as appealing.

Sl: Jasna ga je poznala že leta in ga spoštovala zaradi njegove trme in dela.
En: Jasna had known him for years and respected him for his determination and work.

Sl: "Kaj bo naredil danes?
En: "What will he do today?"

Sl: " se je vprašala.
En: she wondered.

Sl: Mateju se je porodila ideja!
En: A bright idea struck Matej!

Sl: Skušal je narediti privlačno in unikatno postavitev.
En: He attempted to make an attractive and unique arrangement.

Sl: Različno zelenjavo je zložil v obliko veselega sneženega moža.
En: He arranged different vegetables into the shape of a cheerful snowman.

Sl: Bil je pravi umetnik, ki je ustvaril nekaj posebnega iz popestrenih barv in oblik.
En: He was a true artist, creating something special with an array of colors and shapes.

Sl: Mehke vate so ga prekinele klicanje in prisilile na glas.
En: Soft snowflakes interrupted his shouting and forced him to speak up loudly.

Sl: Na tržnico je prišla skupina turistov in se smehljala ob čudovitem razgledu.
En: A group of tourists arrived at the market, smiling at the wonderful sight.

Sl: Matej je začutil, kako zrak preveva upanje.
En: Matej felt hope filling the air.

Sl: Turisti so se začeli zbirati okoli njegove stojnice, navdušeni nad kreativnostjo, in začeli kupovati.
En: Tourists began gathering around his stall, captivated by the creativity, and started buying.

Sl: Njegov trud se je obrestoval.
En: His efforts paid off.

Sl: Dan se je počasi bližal koncu, a njegova stojnica je bila skoraj prazna.
En: The day slowly neared its end, but his stall was almost empty.

Sl: Matej je bil utrujen, a nasmejan.
En: Matej was tired, but smiling.

Sl: Ko je sonce začelo zahajati nad mestom, je Matej zaprl stojnico z občutkom dosežka.
En: As the sun began to set over the city, Matej closed his stall with a sense of achievement.

Sl: Dokazal je, da zna ohraniti družinsko tradicijo ter se prilagoditi in se soočiti s težavami.
En: He had proven that he could maintain the family tradition and adapt to face challenges.

Sl: Počutil se je bolj samozavestnega kot kdajkoli prej.
En: He felt more confident than ever before.

Sl: Ljubljanska osrednja tržnica pa je živela dalje, skupaj z zgodbo o Matejevem uspehu.
En: The Ljubljana central market lived on, along with the story of Matej's success.
