This week's message from Romans 8:18–25 reminds us that the story of the Bible is one of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. God created the world and declared it good, but sin brought the curse of death and corruption upon all creation. The good news of the gospel is not that we escape the material world, but that God will redeem it. Because Christ has been raised from the dead, all who belong to Him will one day be raised in glorified bodies, and creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay. Whatever suffering we experience today is temporary and cannot compare with the glory God has promised His people. "The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." — Romans 8:18
