This is what happens when the monkeys leave me to my own devices while they prepare for the holidays.
I give you a quick math-ralated trick!
And from The Monkeys - Juan, Tooties, Trixie, Fourtnoy, and Quincy - and Me, we hope you have a fun Halloween!
And catch you next time!
Forget that Monday thing. Wednesdays are where it is at!
(At least for now.)
The second segment of Spooky Math for Halloween.
This time, I try to actually make a number a little less spooky - the number 13!
Thank you for your patience and support, and I look forward to your comments. Catch you all again on Wednesday!
Sorry about the late episode - I explain once we get started.
But this week the monkeys have helped me find a good Halloween appropriate topic.
You don't think math would have one?
Listen and find out!
Thank you for your patience and support. Catch you all again on Monday!
The Monkeys allowed me to stay up loate tonight!
This week the Monkeys have asked me to tackle Division by Zero, and how it is sometimes mistaken as something else...you'll see.
Thank you for your patience and support. Catch you all again on Monday!
WOW! It has been a while.
Things have been busy here, and the monkeys won't let me podcast until I finish my homework!
But we have a schedule again, and since they just went to sleep for the night, I decided to sneak a quick episode in to congratulate Maryam Mirzakhani, winner of this year's Field's Medal (and whose name I may or may not be mispronouncing.)
Thank you for your patience and support. Catch you all again on Monday!
The monkeys returned from San Diego. Did they bring me a t-shirt? Nope.
Anyway, little Trixie decided that in honor of me finishing with school, we would talk about "Averages" - Means, Modes and Medians. With a quick Range tossed in!
Thank you all for your support and we look forward to your comments!
The Monkeys were supposed to be back in time for the podcast, but they stayed in San Diego an extra day to go to the zoo. With no concern about how I am to function without them!
So, I quickly give a little discourse on numeral systems. And show a little love for Archimedes!
Thank you all for your support! Feel free to leave any comments, and if you get a chance, please rate us on iTunes - it helps us grow, you know!
Catch you next week, with Monkeys I hope.
First - sorry about the episode being late. Technical difficulties slowed me down, and the the monkeys worked as fast as they could to fix everything.
And here we are!
Talking Platonic Solids! If you get a chance to make some cut-outs, try to make a handful of equilateral triangles, squares, pentagons, and maybe some hexagons or such while you are at it. Not needed, but it will mean that you can play along!
Thank you for your continued support, and I will catch oyu next Monday!
This week Trixie suggested that we talk about dimensions, or how we can travel from zero dimensions to the fourth dimension and beyond!
Thank you for your support and I look forward to your comments!
A new day and a new episode!
And the monkeys are mad at me because I forgot my notes, so I had to wing it!
Anyway, get your pencils ready and learn the joy and magic of Digital Sums and Digital Roots.
(Since I forgot my notes, I might be going a bit fast with the numbers, so let me know and if we have to, we can revisit this subject a little more slowly.)
Thank you for your support and I look forward to your comments!
