Jill Campbell (Director) has worked as a director, producer and writer on
numerous documentaries and narrative projects.She is currently working on "Mr Chibbs",a documentary about former NYC and NBA legend Kenny Anderson. (www.mrchibbs.com) Her other credits include Dancing Across Borders,directed by Anne Bass (First Run Features), Never Stand Still,
filmed at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival; Out of Print which premiered at Tribeca
Film Festival, and The Hamlet of Canfield Gardens a poetic exploration of Jill’s
mentor, British playwrighter Bernard Kops. Jill’s narrative short After Tomorrow
premiered at the Henley Film Festival (UK) and was produced by SBK
Filmmaking (Killer Films/Stony Brook Southampton’s 20/20/20 program) under
the guidance of Producer Christine Vachon. Jill was one of 20 filmmakers to
receive a scholarship to 20/20/20’s inaugural film program where she directed and
produced After Tomorrow and a web episode of Zoe. Jill is also a critically acclaimed
playwrighter. Her work has appeared nationally and internationally at venues
including La MaMa, Mabou Mines, Dublin Fringe Festival and The Actors Studio.
She is a candidate for her MFA in documentary at Hunter College’s IMA program.
