Et: Oli jõuluaeg, ja platsil oli suur kokkamisvõistlus.
En: It was Christmastime, and there was a large cooking competition in the square.
Et: Kogu Tartu ootas pikisilmi Mati küpsiseid.
En: All of Tartu eagerly awaited Mati's cookies.
Et: Mati oli armas ja sõbralik pagar, kuigi tihti unustaja.
En: Mati was a kind and friendly baker, although often forgetful.
Et: Sel aastal soovis ta kindlasti võita jõulu-küpsetisvõistluse.
