Lawsuits have finally been settled, and now new projects involving Jason and Camp Crystal Lake are in full production. For our first official look at the redesigned Jason, we were given a 13-minute short titled "Sweet Revenge".

Despite the intention to end the series with The Final Chapter, after Paramount saw the box office, they quickly decided to crank out another sequel that would hit theaters less than a year later, but they wanted to take things in a new direction.

But could the series survive without its titular villain? Would audiences still care about Tommy Jarvis? Did the director's hardcore XXX roots rub off - so to speak - on this production? Gather around the campfire as we talk about it!

With the slasher craze beginning to dwindle and producers wanting to pursue other projects as we approached the mid 80s, the decision was made to bring Friday the 13th to an end with Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

Back in 1989, a little show called Tales From the Crypt aired on American televisions for the first time. The 2nd episode, despite airing in June, was a Christmas episode called "And All Through The House".
