Matt K. Head Podcast: E09

Do you want to know what skill I am super excited about now?

Writing.

Maybe the topic of writing puts you to sleep. Maybe you haven't really thought about it since school. Maybe you think you have zero writing ability. 

I see it as a key skill for succeeding in this age:

- Better ideas

- Better content

- Better thinking

- Better persuasion

- Better Leadership

- Better connections 

- Better opportunities 

- Better communication

I've been on a journey the last year on my path to mastery. And after writing over 90 weekly letters, I am finally "finding my voice".

So, I might not be the best writer in the world. But I am cool with that, because I am "me" in my weird and wonderful way.

Nobody can beat you at your own game. Especially AI. It’s your life, your story and your insights. Powerful.

And you know what else?

What once felt like a brutal struggle to punch out 100 words is now an absolute pleasure, and the words pour out of me, almost like they are coming from someplace else.

But it's been a long road.

And you know what? 

It's hard. 

Like, really hard. 

It brings up all kinds of self-doubt around the quality of our creative work, and we fear the judgement of others. 

So don't knock writing until you seriously try it. 

But lately, I'm trying to have fun with it.

Things are easier when you're having fun.

And so this week I challenged myself to tell a story from my "boring" everyday life, but make it:

- Inspiring

- Educational

- Entertaining

So that it can positively impact my community.
