Matt Talks Games

I delayed this episode an extra week to fit in the beginning of E3 and Summer Games Fest. I think it was worth it. We learned a lot about what’s to come for video games, finally got to see Elden Ring, and fell asleep while Gearbox was doing their presentation. I also played some stuff and there was other news out pre E3 but we all know what we’re here for with this episode. Not my longest episode, but maybe my densest. Also, the video cut out twice so sorry about that. And precorrections are Far Cry 6 and Daisy Ridley and it dropped the part where I mentioned Minion Rush hit 1 billion downloads. Anyway - enjoy!

After an extra week off from that dumpster fire of an episode, I’m back and I’m better than ever. In this episode, I finally got the platinum for My Time at Portia, IGN is having some internal strife, and I ramble on about game announcements. Sure, there’s other stuff I cover, but the real treat is in the video for this episode. After about 7 minutes, it just froze, so I decided to fill it with something special. Bonus points if you know what I’m paying homage to.

If you listen to this one, I sincerely thank you with all my heart. In what is easily my worst podcast to date, I talk about My Time at Portia, a lot of leaks from the Apple versus Epic lawsuit, and wrap up with my favorite gaming memories. Mistakes were made heading into this one and I promise next episode will be better. It will be a week later than usual which should help dull the memory of this episode. Thank you for listening. Seriously – I mean it!

Well I guess this is growing up. And for me, part of growing up was becoming a dad, so that’s my topic this week – gaming as a dad. Also on the docket is rolling credits on Watch Dogs Legion, GameStop’s CEO getting PAID, and being mad at Humble Bundle. Oh, and I changed the name of a segment. Come see which one it was.

I’m all out of love, with online gaming. Okay, bit of a stretch to make that one work, but that’s what’s on my mind in episode 3. I also talk about my continued journey through Watch Dogs Legion, millionaires forgetting to pay their bills, Twitch embiggening their ban hammer, and Sony hating small games. Well, that last one isn’t quite true, but come find out what the real story is and so much more.

Welcome back to episode two. I gave Avengers a try on PS5 and it got me ranting about games as a service. In this near 40 minute episode, I solve all the problems … who am I kidding? I solved nothing but had fun talking about it. I hope you enjoy listening to it. Oh, and I also introduced a new segment in the news section.

Welcome to the first episode of Matt Talks Games. In this first episode, I talk about what I’ve been playing this year, give my thoughts on some of the news topics from the last few months, and end with a rant about Red Dead 2. I know I need to make some audio and video adjustments, but it’s my first outing so I’m just happy to have it done. I hope you enjoy and come back for future episodes.
