 As a recovering people pleaser, I’ve learned that one of the hardest things to navigate in this walk with God is relationships. 

In this episode, I open up about what it means to show up fully. From over-explaining to overplaying my role in people’s lives, I’ve had to learn the difference between holding sacred space for others and carrying burdens that were never mine to hold. 

And sometimes, the hardest thing isn’t just loving others, it’s choosing yourself. It’s making the decision to let go of seasons and relationships that no longer align with who God is calling you to be. 

This episode is a gentle reminder: it’s not our job to save people. It’s our job to share the good news and let God do the rest.

As we close out the year, I’m taking it all the way back to January, reflecting on the journey that was 2025. It’s hard out here when you have a big heart. Sometimes we feel like loving deeply is a weakness, like maybe we should care less, feel less, or stop giving so much of ourselves. But in this episode, I’m reminding all my lover girls and lover guys: your heart is the very thing God loves most about you.

Through honest reflections and biblical examples, I talk about what it feels like to love and still get hurt, and why that doesn’t mean you should stop loving. I share reminders, encouragement, and a few recommendations on how to move forward when your heart feels heavy.

Ironically (or maybe not), today’s verse of the day is John 15:12: “Love each other as I have loved you.” And if you’re still in the waiting season, just know, God is still writing your story. You’re not alone. We’re in this together.

In light of recent events, I’ve been reflecting on my heart posture and asking myself, "which voice is louder? The world's or God's". In this episode, I get honest about how easy it is to drift, to feel far from God, and to think we have to “get it all together” before coming back. But the truth is, Jesus never asked for perfection.

You might think, I’ve gotta stop smoking, stop sleeping around, stop messing up, before you can turn to Him. But Zechariah 1 reminds us of God's heart: "Return to Me, and I will return to you."

This episode is a call to stop worrying about your mess-ups and start focusing on the One who has the power to change you. He just wants you to come home.

After an unexpected break, Matters of the Heart is back and Kae is coming in swinging. In this season opener, she gets real about what it looks like to walk through a storm. Using her own recent experiences, Kae explores how life can sometimes feels like you're getting hit with blow after blow, but reminds us that God never said it would be easy.

Throughout this episode, she reminds us that God never said you wouldn’t go through the fire… He said He’d be in it with you. And while there may be moments when you’re angry with God, He can handle that too.

Lastly, Kae reminds listeners that even in the midst of chaos, God gave us DOMINION. No matter what or who is coming at you, He’s already given you what you need to overcome.

Isaiah 43:18–19 reminds us to “forget the former things” and not dwell on the past. In this episode, I talk about how remembering isn’t the problem, it’s dwelling that keeps us stuck. Being stuck in the past and expecting God to move on our behalf is crazy, and simply the truth is… we’re not in that place anymore, and neither is He.

God is always doing a new thing, you just have to perceive it. It’s time to release the old, shift your focus, and expect the tables to turn.

I wonder how many of us are waiting for God to move or shift our circumstances. Especially when it feels like you've been waiting for what's coming next. 

Here I was thinking that I was waiting on Him, but I've found that God might be waiting on me. He might be waiting on me to shift my mindset! What is the current season you are in supposed to be teaching you? Are you paying attention to the words that your Father is saying to you? 

God can't give us a new season if we are still battling the wounded mindsets of the old season. Maybe he's waiting on you to confront the past before He can give you your future.

How many of us are constantly thinking about what's coming next? How many of us actually sit in what is happening currently in our lives. I think we have been conditioned to think about the next thing, the next milestone, and we never get to sit in the blessings and prayers that have already been answered. 

In this season of my life, God is teaching me how to sit still. Even though that should be easy, I have found myself being hit by anxious thoughts because things aren't moving faster. I realized, I don't know how to be still. God never said that we wouldn't be anxious, but He did say that you did not have to go through it alone. He's ready to walk in the process with you, if you'll let Him. 

There's no need to fear the future, when you're walking with HIM.

Depression is something that affects all of us, whether we’re the ones battling it or walking alongside someone who is. We don’t always see the silent battles people are facing. In this episode, I share my own testimony of struggling with depression in 2023 and the lessons I learned along the way. But before we dive in, please note this episode discusses depression and suicidal thoughts—listen with care.

Through my journey, I’ve come to understand that depression is just as much spiritual as it is mental. If the enemy can get you to forget your identity, half of the attack is won. But thankfully, we have a Father who will always come back to get us.

Lastly, remember that your obedience could be tied to someone else’s breakthrough—and your testimony might be the story that jumpstarts someone else’s healing journey.
