Jesus cautions and reminds us that it’s easy to do the right and good things for all the wrong reasons.  

There is a propensity in all of us to do the right things for all the wrong reasons.  This is especially true in the church.  This isn’t just at the giving level – in chapter 6 Jesus identifies 3 important practices he assumes we’ll do:  give to the poor, pray, and fast.
