Matthew Hoffman, Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at San Francisco State University to talk about the process in creating team culture.

For over a decade, Coach Hoffman’s career has been blessed with established programs and winning cultures. So, when he was hired four years ago to change the culture and bring a different mindset to the program at San Francisco State University, and he did just that yet again.

Creating a culture of accountability, creativity, and adopting the mindset of “next play” has resulted in two play-off appearances, multiple single season hitting percentage records, and breaking the 2018 team blocks per set record. Winning and competing is the fabric of Coach Hoffman, but coaching the heart of the athlete is what’s most important to him.
