I discuss whether Bitcoin is in a bubble, whether Bitcoin should be backed by gold or something else, and I also discuss how it is impossible "to miss the boat" when it comes to the opportunity to move your savings from a weak currency to a structurally stronger currency.

I also compare Bitcoin ("the money protocol") to internet protocols like TCP/IP, which tend to be very sticky, due to switching costs.

In this video, I discuss whether Satoshi Nakamoto's "Genesis Wallet" is close to being breached, with the result that over 1 million BTC will be stolen and dumped on the market.

My conclusion is that this particular "news item" is the result of a trolling post about Kentucky fried chicken. BIP-39 wallets did not even exist in Satoshi's active years.

In this video, I discuss the daily compounding effects that make it risky to hold leveraged ETFs for any longer period of time than intraday trading. There is also the risk that the ETF might not be able to get enough exposure for the next day, if MSTR experiences a volatile market close.

In conclusion, leveraged ETFs are best used solely as intraday trading vehicles. If you hold them overnight or for multiple days or weeks, you will be exposed to volatility drag. MSTR could go to $5,000 over the next 12 months, and you might still get slaughtered holding a levered 2x long MSTR ETF, if MSTR takes a volatile path getting to $5,000.

In this video, I discuss how MicroStrategy uses convertible bonds to raise more capital to buy BTC, as well as how convertible bonds work.

Convertible bonds are a strange hybrid of stock and bond, and include an embedded call option that allows holders to convert the bond to shares of stock, if the underlying stock is trading above a certain strike price.

MicroStrategy's use of convertible bonds and other financing is one of the most amazing examples of financial engineering that I've ever seen. That being said, I still prefer to hold BTC, since it is a bearer asset.

In this video, I discuss MicroStrategy's Bitcoin treasury reserve asset strategy by beginning to go over the basics of raising cash through company operations, debt financing, and equity financing. I discuss the risks of too much debt, as well as the risks from too much shareholder dilution from issuing new shares.

MicroStrategy's current valuation is baking in the market's beliefs that BTC will continue to appreciate, and that MicroStrategy will continue to accumulate more BTC. This is why MSTR trades at a premium to its BTC holdings, while spot Bitcoin ETFs like IBIT (which are redeemable for their BTC, unlike MSTR) trade in line with their Bitcoin holdings, and not at a discount or premium.
