In the fall of 1980, Genna Susan Sharp and her five children left their home after Sue’s marriage to husband James Sharp had fallen apart. They relocated from Connecticut to northern California, to be closer to where her brother Don was living at the time. Shortly after arriving in California, Sue rented Cabin 28 at the Keddie Resort in Keddie, a rural community in Sierra Nevada. Not long after moving in, Sue and three others would fall victim to a horrific act of violence within the walls of Cabin 28, sparking a lively debate surrounding the identity of the culprits, and the effectiveness of local law enforcement.
