Leah and Rachel compete for Jacob's attention with how many children they can bear. Laban tries to cheat Jacob.

Isaac is near death. Rebekah helps Jacob steal Esau's blessing. Esau plans to kill Jacob. The Lord is with Jacob as he journeys to meet Laban and takes both his daughters as his wives.

Chapter 19 has some disturbing events. We see the wickedness of Sodem before it's destroyed. Lots' daughters get him drunk and bear his children. Abraham makes a covenant with the King, Abimelech. Isaac is born as the Lord promised.
